Dov Dimant
President/Owner/Mascot
Our scrap yard superhero Captain Salvage, Dov grew up spending a lot of time in the yard, learning about the scrap metal business from his father, Saul, who was the original owner. After Saul’s passing in 2002, Dov proudly took over the family business. Dov continues to run the yard with the same passion that started when he was just a teen, and is a pretty fun guy to work for! If you are lucky, he will let you have a peek at his impressive carefully curated personal collection of the oddities that come through the yard.
Sylwester
Yard Manager
Sly has been with the yard since Day 1. His knowledge and dedication have made him an indispensable part of the yard family. Don’t let his stern expression fool you, this guy is a softie at heart. Watch him melt when a cute four legged friend walks into the yard! There’s not much Sly hasn’t seen in the scrap world, and will patiently explain the ins and outs if you ask nicely ;)
Dexter
Team Lead / Scales
Our eyes at the scales, Dexter can spot a piece of metal from miles away! He’s our in house McGyver, his ability to creatively rig up solutions to all sorts of problems make him indispensable around here. On top of processing metals and service at the scales, he goes above and beyond to help customers find exactly what they’re looking for, or didn’t even know they were looking for! He’s always smiling and our customers are a big fan of this mischievous looking guy. Dexter has been with us for two years now, and we are really lucky to have him around.
Jen Dimant
Facilitator/Owner
This amazingly multi-talented lady is responsible for keeping the yard, and all of it's parts, running in the friendly and efficient manner that has had people coming back for years. Jen's medical background comes in handy for all our booboo's, we feel much safer having her around! Jen's dedication to the company is unwavering and she is constantly pushing to make the yard a better place to work, and grow. Everyone here that comes to Jen with a problem, walks away with a solution. We would be lost without our anchor, Jen.
Abbi
Senior Office Coordinator
Our outgoing lead in the office, Abbi has been with us for three years now, and has really grown with the company. She is a customer favourite, due to the attention and care she gives every individual that steps foot in our yard, and her knack for remembering everyone’s names. An artist at heart, her creativity and ability to generate new ideas for the business have made her a crucial part of the team. She is always willing to share the knowledge she has eagerly absorbed over her years of working here. Whether you are interested in buying or selling metal, or just want to pop in for a chat, Abbi will be there for you, ready to put a smile on your face.
Morgan
Office Coordinator
Morgan's impeccable organizational skills keep us in check amidst the chaos! This Taekwondo master and gym buff has become a valuable part of the team, she has really helped grow the business through setting up programs like The Binner's Project, and her passion for these projects is something we truly appreciate. Morgan's A+ punctuality and dedication to her team make her truly loved here, she is always willing to take one for the team!
Amber
Office Coordinator
Amber is one of the bubbly smiling faces you will see in the cashier window. Amber has an excellent ability to catch things that fall through the cracks, making her indispensable in the office. She helps with book keeping and makes sure we are doing things right and staying on track! An avid baker and gardener, sometimes we are lucky enough to share her bounty with her! Amber is an excellent photographer and loves entertaining the little kids that come into the yard.
